Professor Sam has spent over 17 years immersing himself in the art—training, traveling, competing, and coaching at the highest level. His true passion has always been making jiu-jitsu accessible to everyone, regardless of age or experience. Known for his clear, concept-driven instruction, he helps students build confidence, strong fundamentals, and a deeper understanding of the art. A 1st-degree Black Belt under JT Torres, Professor Sam founded String Theory Jiu Jitsu to provide a clean, welcoming environment where all students can learn, grow, and thrive.

Our Fundamentals Class is the core of our training program. Blending different skill levels, it focuses on practical techniques that work in real training. Students refine their skills, dive into key details, and learn to apply techniques with greater precision. Recommended for those with some experience or instructor approval.

Our Advanced Class is designed for students with a strong foundation who are ready for the next level. This class focuses on more advanced techniques and complex sequences, while incorporating positional sparring and live rolling to help you apply your skills in real scenarios. Recommended for those with 12 months of experience or more.

Our Kids Class is designed for children to learn jiu-jitsu in a fun, safe, and encouraging environment. Our program builds strong fundamentals while gradually introducing more advanced techniques, drills, and sparring. Younger kids (5-7) focus on basics and controlled practice, while older kids (8-13) learn complex sequences, live rolling, and take on more responsibility for their growth and discipline.
